此前Coelacanth's Dream通过Github上提交的信息,根据代码推算出代号Aldebaran的CDNA 2架构GPU可能的配置规格。结合更早之前的信息,Instinct MI200计算卡每个计算模块的CU数量应该是128个,其中会开启110个,再通过MCM(Multi-Chip-Module)封装技术,那么一块Instinct MI200计算卡将配置220个CU。当然,也有可能采用全新的架构设计,每个计算模块的开启的CU数量为55个,整块计算卡配置110个CU。
无论如何,根据AMD首席执行官苏姿丰博士在今年5月份摩根大通举行的第49届全球技术、媒体和通信大会上的发言,基于CDNA 2架构的新产品会在今年内推出。除了MCM封装技术,新一代产品还会采用下一代Infinity Fabric总线技术,以及支持第三代AMD Infinity架构,允许多达8路的同款GPU连接扩展到Exascale。
Instinct MI200计算卡尚未露面,但Instinct MI300计算卡已经在路上。据推特用户@Kepler_L2透露,Instinct MI300计算卡GPU的规模将在Instinct MI200计算卡基础上翻倍。AMD仍然会沿用MCM封装技术,并会集成更多的计算模块,CDNA 3架构的GPU或许会有四个计算模块。暂时还不清楚Instinct MI300计算卡的GPU代号,应该也会采用巨型星球的名字。
